IPSS 2025: Building Bridges for Indigenous Economic Opportunity
We’re thrilled to share that SEF Canada had a fantastic time at the Indigenous Partnerships Success Showcase (IPSS) 2025, held on November 13 2025 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.
IPSS 2025 brought together Indigenous Nations, business leaders, policymakers and investors to spark meaningful partnerships and advance economic reconciliation in Canada. For SEF Canada, this event offered an inspiring environment to engage, learn and connect.

Sarah Mierau entrepreneurship journey - Speaking engagement
We were so excited to have Sara Mierau from Tradish Canada speak at to our clients in Empowerment Pathways Program at the Matsqui institution yesterday. Sara shared her entrepreneurial journey as an indigenous woman with a background of trauma and difficulty. Her struggles meant she could overcome the hurdles of entrepreneurship and the day-to-day work as a business owner.

Sarah has been recognized as Indigenous Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 at the CanadianSME Small Business Awards, a well-deserved honour that celebrates her unwavering leadership, vision, and dedication to community empowerment.
Training Week
Our training week at SEF Canada in Main 312 was a huge success. This project is an amazing opportunity to support Indigenous people in their journey to succeed in society through entrepreneurial development.
Throughout the week, we were treated to delicious Indigenous catering, including fabulous feasts featuring bison, elk, salmon, and bannock. We also got to enjoy jams made from berries and pine, along with surprise ingredients that made every meal unforgettable.
