Sarah Mierau entrepreneurship journey - Speaking engagement
We were so excited to have Sara Mierau from Tradish Canada speak at to our clients in Empowerment Pathways Program at the Matsqui institution yesterday. Sara shared her entrepreneurial journey as an indigenous woman with a background of trauma and difficulty. Her struggles meant she could overcome the hurdles of entrepreneurship and the day-to-day work as a business owner.
She believes food is more than just nourishment , it’s medicine, storytelling, and a connection to culture. Her mission is to celebrate Indigenous foodways by bringing authentic, handcrafted dishes and products to our community.
“From our food truck to our café and retail products, every bite tells a story of tradition, sustainability, and respect for the land.”
Passion is based on pain and suffering. Sara Mierau has the passion to continue successfully and give back. She left me a quote “Create a future that you want to live in”
Everyone was truly inspired by this tremendous experience yesterday. And we got to taste her incredible medicine jams! Mahsi Cho Sara.
