Indigenous
An Indigenous-lead Project, Blending Indigenous Knowledge with Business Strategy for Lasting Impact.
Empowerment Pathways is an Indigenous-led initiative grounded in the principle of Two-Eyed Seeing, an approach that brings together Indigenous knowledge systems and modern business practices.
This powerful framework allows us to view the world through both perspectives, enabling sustainable, culturally rooted solutions for entrepreneurship and personal growth. It’s not just about building businesses; it’s about finding purpose, fostering connection, and understanding the deeper “why” behind each journey. Through this balanced approach, we honour tradition while embracing innovation.
We have big news

Our Facilitator
Meet Our Facilitator: Melissa Eldstrom Campbell
Melissa Eldstrom is a proud mother, entrepreneur, and community member currently residing in Chilliwack, on the traditional and unceded territory of the Stó:lō Coast Salish Peoples.
Born in Dawson Creek to a Swedish mother and a Métis father from Peace River—both of whom have now returned to the Ancestors—Melissa honours their memory by reconnecting with her heritage. Guided by her Aunties, Uncles, and many cousins, she has embraced the journey of cultural reconnection with strength and humility.
Melissa’s entrepreneurial path began in early 2019 with the opening of The Fort Nelson Craft Nook. Despite the challenges brought by COVID-19, she successfully ran her business through 2021, demonstrating resilience and creativity. In 2023, Melissa completed her Mental Health and Addictions Care Worker Diploma from Sprott Shaw College and carried out her Volunteer Practicum at A:yelexw Recovery Homes in Agassiz, BC in 2024.
Today, Melissa balances her days between caring for her husband and two sons, and expressing her creativity through beading and crafting. Her personal motto and vision for the future are simple yet powerful:
“Age well and be kind.”
