Think like a beast, act like a beast , YOU ARE a Beast.

Active wear during your workout is significantly important in your fitness journey. Fitted clothing is important depending on your workouts. Here is a general guide:

  • Machine (Guided movement) - More Fitted

  • Free weight (More range in motion and stabilizer) - Fitted or loose

  • Resistant bands (Portable) - Fitted

  • Body weight (No equipment needed) - Fitted or loose

  • Cardio (Movement) - Fitted

Note: More clothing - sweating more. Keeping your heart rate up, burning extra calories.

Sweating more during exercise is actually a sign of improved fitness, as muscles generate heat during exercise, sweat evaporates off your skin to regulate your core temperature. As cardiovascular fitness improves, your body becomes better. More sweat means your cooling system kicks in faster, allowing you to work out harder for longer periods of time before overheating. It’s a good sign to sweat. Your body is getting smarter and more efficient at managing that demand exercise, just remember to keep hydrated and wear the right clothing.

I recommend to wear wick clothing, which absorbs the sweat and keeps body temperature cooler and more comfortable so you can perform better and stay focused on the workout.

  • Nike: Dry-FIT

  • Adidas: Climalite/ Aeroready

  • Lululemon: Silverscent

  • Under Armour: HeatGear.

  • Generic brands labeled “Master-wicking polyester”

Weighted vests are good for endurance and strength when running or fast walking, burning extra calories.

Accessories, such as sweatbands for your wrists and hair are always a good idea.

Gloves are good and different ones for different workouts, are available. They protect against calluses and blisters, improve grip and support.

Weightlifting / gym gloves - cover the palm and sometimes fingerless.

Cross training gloves - slightly thinner to allow dexterity.

Shoes deserve a separate mention there are so many different types of alternatives.
